Default New Grille Install - APG Tubular Stainless Grill

OK, I finally feel like my truck is starting to transform. I just got done installing my new grille. It is meant to just install over your existing honeycomb grille but I wasnt happy that the color of light colored honeycomb showed through so I did some painting...

APG Tubular Grille

Stock grille removed and all taped off ready for paint

Flat Black Exterior Trim Paint

My boy helping me finishing the the easy grill install

All finished

I really like it. Did tons of research before pulling the trigger. When I ordered it from CAR ID I didnt know if I would like the round tubular style as appose to the flat billet. I wanted a harley billet but wasnt shelling out $650 for it... I am more of a fan of the wider spacing...

Thats funny cause before my wife talking me into this truck I swore I would never own a Ford... Since I have had this truck (bought in March) I have become a Ford fan...

I think it would look better with the surround paint matched to your truck, rather than chrome.

I have chrome handles and a chrome running boards. I also have new polished wheels on order...

I am not huge chrome fan but with the Stone Green Metallic it looks great in my opinion

That grille looks sweet. Although I really do like the look of the factory Lariat grille. I would've traded you mine for yours!

I have a Lariat with the honeycomb grill but prefer the look of the H-Bar factory grill. To each his own, I guess.

Thanks guys... I like the color matched H-bar also. And I did like the honeycomb but I just have to be different. It irks me driving a vehicle that is all stock. It needs an individual twist... lol

So these grill inserts just sit over the honey comb? I'm looking to get one soon but don't know if that will look right in person, can't see it in picture though. So maybe won't see in person unless your up under it.
