FLANK SYNATRA

I bought a 04 FX4 recently, for a fair price, but it needed the usual stuff done to it.. I've always been a car guy and decided this time I wanted a truck. I love the thing! Even after all the stuff I had to do. I haven't had two tanks of gas through the thing yet and I've done:

Cam Phasors!!
4x4 vacuum hubs!!
check switch / solenoid!!
coils!!
plugs!! (only 2 broke)
passenger side catalytic converter!!

The truck was whining at the hubs, knocking like crazy, and missing terribly at 50mph. But, shes all good now... Just a tiny exhaust tick (I can live with that for now)

Cant wait to start putting the stuff I want to put on it. (lvling kit, wheels / tires, performance bolt ons)

But anyway just thought Id share what all I have had to do so far, and I'm still more happy with this vehicle than the last Honda I bought. lol

Wow, all that and you still love it? Hope your learned that with the majority of what you listed, OEM parts are the only way to go (phasers, plugs and coils). Also kudos on replacing the important stuff before the fun stuff.

I bought my '04 FX4 in February for $5K and it only needed ball joints and a windshield. Like Summers22 I believe in only using the OEM stuff as well. It's made the best.

I bought my fx4 a in May. I've replaced all the plugs and coil packs (6 plugs broke!!!) and I love it. The Motorcraft parts aren't cheap but the quality is there so I'm all for OEM.
