Default NEW TO FORUM AND FORD F-150(first vehicle) HELP PLEASE.

I will start off by saying i have an 05/ford 5-150 FX4

I tried looking up a few things but to no avail. I looked online as well for answers but seemes vague or exspensive so i was curious if i could go a cheaper way about this. Here is my questions.

One the front botton on my cd players sais aux, just curious as to where it is located? I know that it's not on the front and while i did some reading apparently i need to buy an adapter?

Next question is. I just got this vehicle and there wasn't any squeaking while i was driving just a bit when i pushed on the breaks. Now when i drive slowly the front(i believe brakes) sqeak as well and this is while i'm not touching the brake pedal either. When i got the vehicle breaks were at 90% so i dont know.

third and final stupid question is, is the cd player in the truck a 6 disc cd changer?

Thanks for the help in advance if you can i really appreciate it.

On my truck, there is an aux input on the top in the (what I call it) change area on the dash. The squeking could just be the person that owned it before you was a cheapo and bought crap breaks, you could replace them with better brakes or turn up the radio. I don't know about your radio, but my nav system is 6cd. Welcome and keep coming back, there are lots of cool ideas here.

My truck is in the shop right now getting inspected so I can't answer number one; was trying to find it earlier.

#2 Try to clean the breaks, might just have build up in it. If you have allow wheels just get a hose and hose them down next time you wash the truck. If still sqeak (( just as loud )) Then they may be going and need replacement.

#3 My FX4 is just a standard one disc. If your cd player has " CD-6 " then it's a six disc, if not; then it's just a one disc standard.

Picture for comparison -
Single - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-Ford-F150-Truck-Factory-CD-Player-Radio-6L3T-AD_W0QQitemZ220437608543QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotoho sting

Six Disc - http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/S...d/0/rid/123284

Sorry for random pictures, but the best I could find explaining it; If there's a load button under the eject button then it's more then likely six disc.

the 05s do not have the aux in the upper tray......if your radio had CD6 on it is is a 6 disc player if not its single. the squek could be brakes, bearings or just about anything. take the tire off and rotate the disc until you figure it out.Self diagnostic goes a long ways

neither did the 04 have an aux jack in the tray you need to install a P.I.E. kit look here. This is the one I need to get for my 04 and it goes on your as well

The sqeak sounds like your brakes. Check the brakes and rotors for wear. Also my be a caliper not releasing properly

I have a 6disc in my truck that does not say 6disc on it. The one I had stock did but it started having problems ejecting my CD's. I got one for free from the neighbor that came out of his 05 Lariat. The new one is an audiophile.
