Hey Man Im new to the site as well.
I just bought me a new truck last week. Same as yours only 04' and a full 4 door. Pics below..
When I test drove it. Everything sounded great, So I bought it. The next morning I started it up and I heard a squealing sound. I think its probably the belts that need checking. It has 69K on the engine. So if anyone knows of a common problem around that time let me know. Im sure its probably a belt dressing issue, but I have a appointment wed. to get it checked out at the dealership I bought it at. That's prob gonna be your best bet as well.

Im also pondering of some ideas to do to the truck. Please post some pics or direct me to a thread that has some on it. So I can get some help.

Thanks Guys

Very sharp trucj UK!!!

Here is a pic of one of the memebers on this forum (I forgot their name). I love the way this truck looks - very sharp and about how I want mine to look.

Default I know the...

early '04's had some rear end problems that had a high pitch whine. They had a fix... heavier gear oil.

But nice truck, and welcome. Thanks for the pics.

is it kind of like a hollow sound. mine does it sometimes at low rpm shifts. ford place told me it was torque converter. since it is not under warranty they told me just to drive it could last another 100k, but if its under warranty take it back.

no its coming from around the belt area. It only does it when its just started up. Like in the mornings after sitting all night. Its past factory warrenty. But when I bought it, the dealership I bought it from gaev me the pre-owned toyota bumper-to-bumper warrenty. So I am having them check it on wed.

Thanks for the help guys.

Simpleman, the truck you posted is sweet man. I like how they kept with the blacks and didn't chrome out everything. I think chrome is over played

Moaning noise sounds like a pinion bearing because it goes away with letting off..possible gear lash in the diff.

My next door neighbor just bought an 06 superduty. Its a supercrew xl model with the v10. He just put some new composite black wheels with wide whiteletter bfg all terrains on it. The wheels and tires really set off the truck. He gets more complimesnts than when he had his 04 screw f150. I like both of your trucks. I wish I had the fx4 wheels on my lariat.
