Default New Ford owner...

Never owned a Ford until now. Just bought this truck. Its an 04 XLT w/ 5.4

This is after the kids helped me clean it up. I've been a car head for quite some time. I'm resisting the urge to VHT everything I can get my hands on. The chrome is kinda growing on me because its spread out all over the truck. Let me know what you guys think.

Truck looks great! Only thing I would change and that's just me is the chrome door handles, mirror covers and the chrome between the side glass but thats just me! Not taking anything away from thAt rig though! It's a beaut!

Thanks for the compliment. It also had a chrome cover for the gas door. I took that off ( huge PITA!) X2 3M tape was used.

The head lights were pretty yellow and the interior needs a good steam clean, but its a clean truck. Hardly any dings/scratches. Its got a 3" body lift with a leveling kit sitting on 35's. It also has dual exhaust that sounds pretty darn good! I'm in love with this thing...

Are you planning on putting any other mods? If so what are you putting?

No mods just gonna personal "ize" it to my liking. Already working on it. New serp belt (squeeked) and new exhaust clamp behind the driver cat (small leak). I'm still on the fence about all the chrome....until I see something just like mine with no chrome that I like more, I'm gonna leave it for now.

If I could find somebody local to strip/powder coat my wheels, I would ditch all the chrome...even the tool box. Just haven't had the time to look around yet.

Thank you. I've owned GM (LS1's), mopar, chrysler...this is my first Ford. I've always been biased and never gave them the time of day. Well I'm all grown up now and that's just a dumb way of thinkin. Every make and model has their ups and downs. This particular make/model just happen to put the biggest smile on my face out of all the trucks I drove while shopping. The family is in love with it as well. Yeah, is big, gets crap mpg's...I don't care. I've waited years for a "newer" truck so fuel prices can kiss my ***** as far as I'm concerned. I'm not gonna let those things get to me because I budgeted for this.
