New F150 owner with Question's (Remote start/ Misc. connection/ Key code)
Hi all! I'm a new (to me) owner of a 2007 F150 Lariat - SuperCrew 4x4, and I have a couple questions about my truck I'm hoping you all can help me with.
#1. I found a connection that comes up from underneath the rear of the back driver side seat. The cable/connection comes out about 6" and I'm really not sure what it goes or went too?
#2. I found out the previous owner had a remote start installed but no remote controls came with the truck other then the factory lock/unlock/panic one. I even asked the dealer but non were turned over to them when they got the truck. There's a box under the driver side dashboard that says "Astroflex" on one side with a model "BBW" on the back. By the rearview mirror is a little black box about 2"x2" with a little thick (about pen size) antenna sticking out about 2". Is this a good/reliable unit? If so, where can I purchase and get programmed a replacement control at a good price?
#3. How can I get the factory key code for the door key pad?
Than you all in advance!

I'm makin a wild guess here. but the pen size thing in the mirror was probably for like a radar detector, gps system or Bluetooth satellite radio. And the wire hangin might be for a cb radio, I'm takin a shot in the air with those ideas. Take some pictures of what your lookin at so we can get a better idea

The thing by the rear view mirror should be something for the remote start/alarm is my guess. My truck has that stuff and there is a box like that but mine is in the top driver side corner.

That connector under the rear seat may have been for the factory subwoofer/amp, known as "audiophile". Can you post a picture of it?
As to your number 2 question, you have much more to go on than most! Have you tried using Google to locate the manufacturer/web site? I'm betting you can locate them and answer this by doing a bit of googling....
I found this as the first hit when I typed "astroflex" in the google search window:
http://www.astroflex.com/

Thanx guys... 1 down 2 to go.
Yeah I'm gonna have to take time to get that seat out to get my code.
As far as the box, I'm pretty sure it goes to the remote start because I have seen similar set ups. The box is not the one ON the rearview mirror but a separate one next to it. I doubt it's for a radar too.
I'm pretty sure the connection under the seat is factory... I followed it back as much as I could and it gets added to the bed light cables (electrical tape) and runs to the front somewhere.
I took some pic's of the connection. Also of the system under the dash and the antenna.
Also of my truck

I think you might be right about the subwoofer Bucko. The connection comes up right underneath the rear seat where it folds up, right by the corner closest to the door. I found this youtube video that leads me to believe thats what it might be for.
