Ok so i just got a new 2005 F150 with 58,000 miles on it and I love the truck. Now I guess it has the Cam Phaser issue with it. I read all the stuff and other links and watched the boring video about it but my real question is....

Can anyone guarrenty that the cam phaser issue won't cause any issues with my truck? I'm atleast looking to drive for the next 4yrs / 40,000 miles.

Nobody can guarantee anything. That said, I highly doubt it. Mine are making a little noise, but it isn't likely to be a problem.

Yeah, my 05 5.4 likes to make noise, but it is OK. Phasers are working as they should. When they start making the bad, out of timing clicks then I will probably open the valve cover up and replace them and the lash adjusters. I guess I'll take a class on engine repair before I do it. And that will be later on....like 2 or 3 years from today. I am not worried about my 5.4 one bit. Just keep using the 5w-20 and you'll be good to go!
