Default New to F-150s need some free advice

I just bought an 07 XLT 4x4 150" wb screw. I want to put a leveling kit on and am wondering, will this affect the truck negativley in any way? What size is needed? How easy is this to do yourself? What mfg is best?

thanks much

Either Daystar or AutoSpring are commonly used but the brand really is not a large concern. Some people use 2", most people use 2.5" to level out the truck. The most it will affect is the alignment although that is simple to fix and recomended to be done after install anyway. Only when you get to the 3" do you run into potential issues with control arm and ball joint limitations and presumed premature wear. I myself am about to get a 3" front 2" rear lift for my 2WD using front level kit and 2" rear blocks.

I bought mine on ebay for about 85 bucks. This was the first time that i had Installed anything like this and i thought it was easy and didn't take to long, the second side went much faster. Get an alignment quick or you will chew your tires. I think these are the ones on got: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...Q5fAccessories

Thanks guys. Probably i'll get the 2.5 off of ebay. This may be the cheapest mod I've ever done. My other rig is a 77 toyota LC fj-40 = $$$.

I got the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks to level the front, gives you about 2 1/2 inches in the front and a little in the back....I am about 1/2 high in the front now, so gunna put some 1" blocks in the rear..looks killer and rides great, much better than the factory shocks IMO...

You cant get the shocks adjusted to level? I like this Idea better if I didn't have to add blocks in the back. The truck looks good.
thanks.

The front shock has 3 levels you can set it at. I set it at the highest..I guess I could drop the front down, but that would lower it about 1 1/2 inches, and I am only 1/2 high, so I am going with some small blocks, wont affect ride or stiffness or anything, just get it level...thanks and good luck
