New exhaust tomorrow – Black chrome maybe?
I’m dropping off the truck tomorrow to have a new exhaust get put on it. Just straight pipes with Black chrome tips. I’m having second thoughts on the SS black chrome tips and may go with good old polished SS. What are your thoughts. Does anyone have the black chrome on their trucks? How well does it hold up?

I have seen lots of black chrome around here and from what i have seen is that it looses its luster pretty fast and does not look as good when you put i good metal polish on it. I went w/ chrome because its what came w/ my kit. but as soon as this stuff get too pitted im going to put some stainless tips on it.

I had black chrome wheels (18X9)on my 2003 Cobra Mustang. I got so many questions and comments about the wheels it was almost rediculous. They looked very good. But they had clear coat over them and looked excllent for years. Not sure how that would work out on the exhaust though....if you live in the rust belt I would likely skip it.....Otherwise, Why not give it a shot....
