any problems with gripping or in the rain with these tires? I had a previous set of Coopers before my current set up, but found them to slide in the rain on take off and a little bit in the mud. They weren't the new gen of this tire, but just looking for opinion.

I can't say anything about wet traction as I haven't had them in the rain yet. All the reviews I've read don't say anything negative about wet traction.

No problems at all for me in the rain. I was nervous about getting these being a mt and 90% of my driving is highway but I have had zero issues . Drove in a couple of downpours and no problems taking off or braking hard
