The 90* bends after the filters are seem to negate pretty much any increase in pressure or velocity you may have built up. I personally think just trying to smooth the airflow (get rid of bends/turns) would be of more benefit, but I am intrigued by this design! Definately follow up with some pics of how this turns out!
and yes ram air it is, my original post was just for a simple CAI from just above the radiator using the stock filter box and the rear heat plenum from under the carpet, but evedryone seemd more interested in the ram air design.

Do the gotts mod. Same up gain for about $5. You cant force air with out a supercharger or turbo

We'll see.... I'll do a data analysis of all the engine and environmental input PIDS using IDS at various speeds; stock, gotts, my CAI idea, and My ram air idea, and we'll compare data. Has my idea been done on this truck yet? if so let me know, if not then there is no valid point to your argument. Yes turbo or super charged will obviously get more power but not everyone has that kind of money and yes gotts is cheap and I've done it already, but for the sake of argument lets see what happens.
