I'm looking to get step up bars for my '05 F150 S/C. Any suggestions...I'm looking for something affordable.

check craigslist or ebay for some oem take offs if your looking for somethign affordable, I see them on my local craigs list for 100-150 all the time.

any brands I should look for or avoid, and also, are they relatively easy to install?

Im not sure brand wise, but If you could, I would get soem that attach to the frame.

i have the 5 inch oval bars from ford... i really like them... look at my gallery and you will see them on my truck. not sure what they cost i got them thrown in with the deal.

I just put power steps on my 08 Supercrew and have the chrome steps that came with the Truck that you can have if your in Calif...They do have some small scratches tho.

I bought some stainless bars off Ebay. Got them for like $160 shipped brand new.

They are very nice....I will try and find the seller name

check out summitracing.com they have 150 bars that are powdercoated black or chrome and ready to install with all hardware for our trucks....

summit is one of my favorite places...they take brand name, put thier name on it and supply the hardware and sell it for a 1/3rd less usually
