I own a 2006 F150 4x4 lariat. I was wanting to put a leveling kit on it. and cant decide on weather to put a 2" or 2 1/2" kit. Ive been told if i want to run 35's i need a 2 1/2 is this true. ive also been told a 2 1/2 will put it nose high and whats the best kind to put on without breaking the bank. thanks for help guys

There is a sticky at the top of this sub-forum with lift info you should check out.

You just need to measure the front and rear heights at the wheel wells and find the difference. I put the hell bent steel 2.5" kit on my 07 and it sits perfect. It was like $60 or $70 if you are wondering about prices.

I've got a 2.5 on 35's and it sits level about 50% of the time. Under certain circumstances facing up hill, or with the front wheels turned she's a tad nose high... Its mostly from all the tools I lug around. So a 1.5" AAL or A 3" block will help it sit level or slightly raked all of the time.. I'm probably gonna go the AAL route because I know my leaf springs are getting tired..

The bed lid does give the appearance of a slight rake, but its level.

I've got rancho quicklifts on mine now. I believe they're a 2.5" lift. Sits perfectly level.

well i went out and measured it and the front measured 22.1 and the back measured 23.3 so a 2" would get me a rake in the back correct?

Sounds like yes but it shouldn't. Looks like you're sitting pretty much level right now. Is there any kind of level on it already?

If it has a level then you should be able to see a spacer between the top of the strut assembly and the place it screws in to the truck at the top. Mine sat level so I assumed it had a spacer but when I put my ranchos on to my surprise there wasn't one. Not sure why but there wasn't. Yours could be similar.
