In my simple, humble opinion, it has become more obvious these days that states have either dropped inspections, or are very loose in upholding the laws. More and more folks install parts for the "cool look" factor and do not seem to care if they are legal or if they perform as good as the stock part.
Most of the time this does not concern me at all, unless it affects safety; seeing as how we all have to share the roads, I am verbal in my opinion when it comes to these issues. Lights may not fall into this catagory if you live in cities, or if you drive during daylight hours only.
But if these types of headlights "eat" bulbs, and have a lower than stock light output, why would you consider installing them?
FX4 MATT gave you a valid recomendation to stay away from them, yet you still want them; for what reason/ They are cool?
Seems like you already made your decision, regardless of what others are warning you about. It's your truck, make it what you want for sure.
If you're still up for opinions, , I'd search for a "cool" part that's functional, and operates as good or better than the original. This way, you send a message to those that manufacture parts; we want the "cool factor", but it also has to perform. Otherwise, they (manufacturers) will continue to make and sell cool, but cheap, poor working stuff. We as buyers can easily control this.

I haven't made up my mind, i dont see how by me asking him "how do they suck" was me making up my mind... i was waiting for a valid, mature response, in detail of why he thinks they suck. just saying "they suck" is the kind of answer you get from a 14 year old.
i wasn't about to base my opinion on these headlights by one guy saying they suck without giving any detail....

The brights are better than stock. The lows aren't but for me that doesn't matter.
As far as safety goes, how about all your HIDs blinding me constantly????? I'd rather hit a rabbit because my lows weren't super bright that have a head to head collision because I couldn't see because of someones HIDs.
Personally I think HIDs should be outlawed.

but i dont see them being outlawed because so many people in this world have horrible vision even with glasses on... some need the brighter lights
not me, i was just stating why i don't think they will be outlawed, i personally like how much more of the road you can see with HID's thats why i want them, cuz honestly i would hate to contribute to road kill

The HIDs replace your Halogens with Xenon lamps, so just the bulbs, that's it ( of course the HID ballasts and etc too). If you are just wanting the better lighting, just purchase a HID kit of your temp preference and keep your stock lens'.
