Default need some help trouble shooting radio issues

when pulling my aftermarket radio yesterday i had a spark (not sure what wire) and lost my radio and nothing else. i went through restripped/crimped all hot wires and grounds as i still don't know where it came from. still no power to stereo. check #7 and #31 fuses, they were good but replaced them anyway. replaced the fuse on the deck itself (alpine) it was still good but i replaced it. also replaced the good fuse on the sirius box. still nothing. unhooked ground wire from battery let the truck sit for an hour and hooked it up just in case it was a security deal. still nothing. any thoughts? i took a multimeter to the stereo harness and do not have juice at either the switched or constant powers.

Did you see the other poster a few down from this one mentioning fuse # 31?
