Question Need some help on picking a leveling kit

Hey guys, looking at eventually getting a 2.5" front leveling kit for my 05 f150 xlt 4x4.

ive seen a few different styles though...some made from basically plastic pucks , some from machine aluminum, some from tube steel with plate steel welded mounting pads.

I have also seen some that have stud extenders so it maintains the factory strut position where as some of the kits have offset nut and bolt mounting which by the looks of it would require spinning the strut 180degrees (so the strut would mount to the spacer 180 degrees out from factory but the mounting kit would mount in the factory position).

Ive done some thread searching and googeling and I have seen threads on how to do the install, threads on brand preference, threads on geometry break downs and lift ratios. But I didnt find the answers to my specific questions. So I am hoping you guys can tell me if there is a specific mounting style thats better than the other or if its mostly a matter of preference and if most people prefer the poly plastic material style or the solid aluminum ones or the steel ones...or?

any help and guidance is appreciated . Thanks in advance guys.

How many miles do you have on your rig? I just did the rancho quicklift struts (150 ea on rock auto) and raised it 2 in and the material is awesome and you get better feel from new struts.

I used a Daystar 2.5" Polyurethane leveling kit on my truck. So far, it's working out great and it's pretty level.

100,000 miles on the truck. If it was a rough ride I would consider doing a strut lift but it still is a great riding truck so no need to spend money that's not needed at the moment which is why I was looking into the spacers.

As for the spacers them self. It's a matter of preference but I think I'd rather have aluminum or steel so that I can avoid compressing/degrading of plastic/poly parts over time.... But maybe someone here can sway my opinion lol.

In your picture it looks like your spacers have a multi mounting pattern so I would assume you had to rotate the strut to a mounting position other than the factory location?

By the way ...nice truck. And nice touch with the newer style fx4 decals. Where did you pick those up at?

Oops, just did some reading on your kit and it looks like it uses the stud extension. I got confused and thought it was the style that has a different set of mounting holes for clocking the coil differently . But I am assuming that its for a universal fit on other vehicles which would explain the extra holes

The Autospring kit is offset and it does not require you to turn the strut and it keeps the UCA off the spring.
