Default Need Rim/Lift/Tire Advice

Often browesed forums and decided to join today. Have a 2004 FX4 fully loaded with leveling kit and 20's. Love the truck and now its time for new tires and rims. Always wanted a lift with 22" mud terrains but unfortuantely drive to the city where the truck must fit in a parking garage.

As is, the truck is a very tight fit in the garage. What is the biggest wheel & tire combo I can fit on the truck without causing the truck to raise more than 2". I dont want to "fill" the wells soo much it looks goofy but at the same time dont have much choice to avoid clearance hieght.

Anyone else in my boat? What are my options?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

get a 2" leveler and some nice 22's and toyo mud just came out with 35x12.50-22...backspacing is crucial to make it fit.

well stock is 5.5", so you want something similar to that, with a 8.5 or 9 inch width. will need to do some trimming

Thats what I thought. Was hoping to find a "deep dish" style rim but my options may be limited. And a 33" tire. If anyone has any pictures of similar setups that would be greatly appreciated.

you wouldn't be able to get a deep dish rim and run 35's, backspace and offset are related obviously, so try a 22x10 with a 33x12.50-22, would look badass..most people don't go with 22's because of cost and tire selection sucks.

Took a look at some 33x12.50's today. They look waaaay wider than the stocks of course. Maybe on the truck with 22's they wont look as wide?

Sorry, that is confusing after re-reading. With the 22x10, what backspacing is advised? I see issues with the mud terrains rubbing with only 2" of lift due to the width of the tire and aggressive tread, especially while turning. I've never seen it done so maybe seeing is believing. Any experience?
If so, I may be taking the dive this weekend. Thanks for the help Atom.

22x10's with a 4.5 backspace would be fine, alot of guys have ran 33's on 20x10's and had minor trimming to make em fit.
33's on 20's you would just have bigger rims, same setup obviously
