Default need rear shock bushings

i have a 6' fabtech lift on my 04 FX4 Screw. my rear shock bushings have just reached the end of their life they are a little dry rotted. i cant seem to find them anywhere on the fabtech website by themselves. or can i just use stock ones. im not sure what model they are but they are white mono tube

Probably be easier to just replace the whole shock

sure they are monotube? Most white bodied shocks that come with lifts are cheaper twin tube shocks for those that don't know any better.

IMO, replace them with a set of bilsteins.

I don't recommend replacing just the shock bushings "if they are even available" Rather replace the shocks with good quality units. Don't half azz it!

If new shocks isn't the way you want to go right now, or you don't end up finding bushings you can try soaking them with carb cleaner. It causes rubber to swell or expand. Worth a shot. Cant hurt them more than they already are....

^Please don't try this unless you're going for Darwin award. It will swell the bushing, but it will also turn it into mush with the spring rate of oatmeal. In addition, it could result in the sudden loss of the shock.

I guess I should have stated that I have never tried that before.....but don't see how spraying a little on would turn it too mush.....unless it was submerged in a cup or something....then yes....would definitely go to mush..... I did say ( try soaking them )......not the best terminology .
