OK. I spliced all 4 SAT wires and disconnected them. I can hear the ipod but only slightly. Any idea what could be blocking the sound from being fully on?

Is there a variable gain on the FRD04-AUX?

Yeah, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Also the wires I have don't match up with the color codes you supplied. These are the wires that plug directly into the SAT box...right?

If i disconnect any of the other wires it states that it can't find the audio. Hmmm. There's got to be something muting the input. Seems like there should be a logical method to reroute the SAT to the ipod.

Yep.

Is the power and ground to the FRD04-AUX hooked up?

I believe so. Question: if the power were not hooked up right to the FRD04-aux, would I still be able to hear the sound the way I do? I also heard it nicely yesterday but haven't been able to reproduce it today.

I could see it transmitting the base signal from the ipod, and not letting the head unit see the FRD04-AUX and the gain not making any difference.

Sorry it took me so long to get back here...I've been out enjoying my new radio setup.

It was a power issue to the FRD04-aux. Thanks for making me recheck that. Works very good. Not sure why they say it doesn't work with factory Sirius.

Great to hear! How does the AUX button work now, when you push it does it say "Line in" or something, or does it still say satellite? Do you think I could put it in mine and still retain the sirius (which I do use)?

When I flash through now it gives me all the SAT options plus one called Crystal and another called Pi. Not sure if it works if the SAT is plugged in...mine is not.
