Hi guys I'm new to the website, i just sold my dodge cummins (265,000 miles) and bought a used FX4. I will be putting 285's on my truck. Would a 2 inch leveling kit be good or would you recommend the 2.5? I dont want to jack it up just make it look better, its going to be farmed out of so i dont want anything too high. What do ya'll recommend?

i just put 285's on my lariat that has a 2" leveling kit, i had a 2.5 on before for about a week and it sat too high in the front.

seems like people with older models 04-06 or so usually get the 2.5 leveling kit but most people with 06-08 get the 2" and it sits level

Weird you say that because mine sits perfectly level. Although I did it myself. I just refuse to let anyone touch my truck, if I can help it.

I see a lot of people saying that the 2 1/2" sits high in the front..... guess I got lucky?

Default Thanks for all your pics!

Ive seen all the photos with 2.5 leveling kits, any 1 ever do a 2inch?? And does the leveling kit make your truck ride different? I have a 05 fX4 and its all stock and honestly it rides like a buck board the ride is soo stiff its almost embarrasing, anything i can do too soften it up?

By plucroy pictures I'd say 2" is perfect! I have a 2x4 07 and i'm going to install the 2" autospring kit this weekend and i'll take some sideview pictures before and after.
