A 4x4truckleds bulb mounted the wrong way (upside down). The pic below is the exact same bulb mounted correctly.
I did that just to show the difference and how and why they can cause glare if either not adjustable or not installed correctly.

So on the LEDs, is there any special install or is it plug n play? And thanks for the help guys!
Also, what part number do you have from 4x4?

I see glare in both pics, just one is not as bad as the other. And I have no problem being "that guy". I have tried several types of LED's (not the specific ones Summer posted, but similar, but also not in an 11th gen housing). Distance lighting with LED is poor compared to even halogen, and pathetic when compared to OEM level HID.
Lemansz, your first post only said "Get LED's". That is horrible advice. If you meant specific LED's, then say so.
I stick by what I said though, halogen housings require halogen bulbs. Anything else will glare. The extent of the glare will vary, but it will be there, as well as worse distance lighting. Optics are optics, you can't change what the housing was designed for.
Keep using your LED's if you want and think you can see better with them, I will keep flashing anyone with glare (including OEM LED's that seem to always be aimed poorly).

There is no glare, absolutely none. The distance is also greater than any halogen or projector retrofit I have ever had. I have built my own headlights, had oem and aftermartket housings and these LEDs are the best bulb as far as output I have ever tried. I am not some young kid going for looks, I am 43 and just want great lighting, which these have given me.

If you want to provide some proof that your halogens will outshine my Leds, Please do. I know you wont find it, b/c even 2008xl keeps proving you wrong. I think you need to be a little more open minded and listen to us, then just going on what youve read in some random blog.

In my research online and in person, good Halogens and LED's in reflective housings shine a similar distance, difference being the LED's will leave a blob of light directly in front of the truck and make the light whiter (not necessarily brighter) than a quality halogen. Old LED's would blind, these new ones are better. BUT nothing (and I really mean nothing) even comes close to having a better cutoff and better spread and distance than a proper HID projector.
But hey, that's just my findings. To each their own.

I am telling you, these LEDs are better than my mini H1 projectors. Now maybe if I had EVO-x's or whatever they are called, my opinion would be different. All I know is I hated the cutoff down the road of the projectors. I liked the distance and spread of halogens and with these LED's I get brightness, distance and spread that is superior than halogen without the sharp cutoff down the road as projectors. I have passed hundreds of cars on 2 lane highways and not a single flash.
