If by less you mean higher number then yes. There is a sweet spot to reach though. Too little offset (6" backspace) you will rub the upper control arm and frame. Too much offset (4.5" backspace) and you will rub the fender before and after the tire. I dont know what the perfect backspace is but it depends on your lift and what type of tire you get.

yeah thats what i meant, my bad worded that wrong lol. do you know if i could run a -12 offset wheel on my truck just leveled? my wheels are 275/70/18's, so they're not very wide
