8000lbs is a lot for an f150. I would consider a diesel.

I have been considering moving up to an F-250 Diesel... Just hate to part with my F-150 - I Love my truck... Also, I hear a lotta' bad stuff about the Ford (International) Diesel...

i have a 4.6 with a s-trim vortech, 42lb injectors...etc etc. no problems towing the motorcycles. and it was under 4 grand i believe....i cant really remember it was a long time ago haha

international diesel was the first gen diesel made used by ford, now they use the powerstroke engine, you cant go wrong with 7.3 engine from srond 99-03

which one do you have again, i see nothing for a f150 on that site, did you use one from a stang? and also those look similar to a turbo but the just have a pulley on them, interesting hmm

well a supercharger from behind looks similar to a turbo seeing how the air is being forced thru it by a impeller. a supercharger is belt driven and a turbo runs off exhaust, so thats the basic difference. a turbo is "free horsepower", but has lag.....a supercharger "takes power to make power", and is instant horsepower. if anything you can call the 1800 number for vortechand they can tell you the different set ups that they have for your truck. i have friends who own automotive shops, so i just had them order the kit for me

yea i know the difference in a turbo and super charger...... thats just the first super charger ive seen of that nature
