Default need more hp

I have a 05 f150 4.6, what can I buy to add more hp ? not trying to spend a fortune. I was thinking of buying a cai?

Dump the superchips and get a gryphon and a custom tune I'd say headers but after reading an article today they are only good for around 8hp (shortys) long tubes ate good for around 21 but good luck for a 2wd 4.6 only one company makes them and they are not cheap CAI is a good idea if you have a Custom tune in sure MGD will jump in on this and agree I have one and it made little difference. However the edge programmer I have made my truck come to life

Get an edge and 4.10 gears and you'll be happy with the improved power and feel!

the superchips aren't bad, I felt a big difference , but I think am going to get headers first . the intake can wait . thanks man

quick question on the gears I just need the ring and pinion ?

And someone to instal it! It's not a job that should be taken lightly. Only let someone with experience setting up gears do the job. Might as well put in an LSD while it is apart.

As for the CAI, don't waste your money. Any improvement is negligible if any at all. Our intakes flow well already and are already CIA. Notice it flows from the inner fender.

Gotts mod is time better spent.

No problem enjoy her man headers are my next venture when I goto dual exhaust
