Default Need Help with Wiring

I went and got myself a set of fog lights that I'm planning on mounting on the rear of my truck to help me see when backing up. I want to be able to run them to a switch inside the truck instead of hooking them up to the reverse lamps. I like the idea of being able to turn them on whenever I need them.

What is the best way to go about wiring this up? What should I use as my hot source? Just hook it up to the battery, and then run an inline fuse along with it?

most will reccomend a relay, but i have some fogs and theyre just hooked up to the battery with an inline fuse like stated above and grounded to the frame and work fine, i had them like that on my old truck and used them everytime i drove at night and never had a issue

my opinion would be run the hot from the battery like you said with a inline fuse...
im getting ready to do this too..im also going to hook up my backup camera to this same switch..
there is a plug to run wires through the firewall at the bottom of the fire wall on the drivers side..theres a cable..i beleive its for the shifter cable
