Default Need help on Painting Fender flares

Just got some Fx4 knock off fender flares off of ebay today. They are smooth finish like the lariat models. I have a black truck, I want to know what everyone thinks should I go gloss black or satin black and if so should i just use the krylon fusion paint or something similar? Do I need to clear coat as well? Thanks for the help.

I hit mine with some rustoleum flat black, and they are looking pretty good. Nice contrast on my truck anyways.
