Default Need help from ford fans

Okay guys and gals. Other then my F150 i also own a 2011 GMC Yukon XL that I am having a lighting issue. The GMC forums suck and have no traffic on them. So maybe one of you could help.
When i turn on my left blinker and step on the brake the light goes crazy. They all start flashing including the reverse lights (on both right and left)
When lights are on at night and i step in the brake the left side goes out completely.
This issue is intermittent and only ocurres every now and then.
I have checked and cleaned the grounds for the rear lights. Cleaned out the wiring harness connectors. Also disconnected the trailer brake controller and nothing!!
Any thoughts??
Thanks
jay

Sounds like you might need to replace the circuit boards. Been a common GM truck problem since the early 90's.

Have you tried simply replacing the bulb? Depending on how the wiring is run, and circuitry is, a bulb with a loose filament can send power back to the dash or multifunction switch and cause havoc.
That's just speculation though, but worth the bulb it will cost to try.

Thanks for the advice. I will try changing the bulb and see if that helps. Still under extended warranty so if that does not do it off to the dealership!
