What size tweeter is in my F150?

My 2005 (nor any factory Ford F150 for that year I believe) came from the factory with tweeters. If they did, they would have been in the plastic that runs up the side of the windshield, or in the plastic behind the outside rear view mirrors. Tweeters need to be at head level or close to it to be effective.

Read the link, and maybe others on the audio section. There is the hole in the door panel, just in front of the arm rest behind the panel that gets taken off for speaker replacement. That is factory tweeter placement. I don't have one but I believe they have them with the audiophile system. Bucko is correct the door panel placement is not the optimal height. Another member did an extensive audio system mod and included raising the tweeter height. Check out the link or take you door panel off. To put in a larger tweeter, a dremel tool will be your best friend.
