Has anyone removed their weather strips from the roof lining? Need to remove mine tomorrow, would appreciate it if someone could help. Thank you.

What would possess someone to remove the weather stripping from their roof?

I'm getting my roof wrapped tomorrow and need to tuck the vinyl under the strips to ensure it'll stay.
