UPDATE: finnaly broke down and took it to the stealership for a dia my wife was there so I couldn't change out my cop setup so it has all different types of cops new and old didn't get to really explain it well so the service guy is going to see it and see that I tied a wire to hold the connection on number two coil prob be like that's your problem and there's hundred bucks wasted help they will over look that part and keep searching.

My wife followed me said she could see fuel "liquid" and she could smell the cats when she was behind me and she had the windows up so it's gotta be bad the truck ran ok some parts you could hardly feel it then others I would have to kick it down to get the rpm up to quit missing didn't big as bad as the other day was able to hold 65 to 70 with mild pedal up hills was a different story had to really get into the throttle anyway will keep updated in plan on picking it up nextnfriday since my wife works all week and I can't get to pick it up until then

You'll never find out... It's possible you cracked them on the install, but they also could've been dropped, thrown around during shipping, etc.

They've been handled a lot since time of manufacture till they wound up in your truck. Chalk it up in the sh** happens column and keep on trucking. Glad they got it figured out without trying to sell you a new engine.

And I almost put all the old plugs back in to check to see but was too stubborn will find out soon I denied them replacing the two they said was cracked they wanted an extra two hundred for putting in 2 so I am going to take some up there when I pick them up swap them out and hope for the best

If they are right I'll use them again for sure when I encounter more issues with 216000 miles I expected the engine thing myself I have kept the truck in great condition I have been very fortunate to have a truck that I haven't had any issues with for so long it literally has turned me away from General Motors I have six silverados two the same year as my limited and I won't ever buy another gm again ....... Normal issues that many other f150 5.4 guys experience I haven't had to deal with even if this doesn't resolve the issue that truck has been the best 216000 miles I have had and ford has a repeat customer

Update: I couldn't wait until Friday to go pick it up I was to anxious so the dealership picked me up they where right I changed the two plugs and it idles like it was when it was new even thought the service called me yesterday morning told me what it was I show up today the tech is still swapping stuff around to make sure he was right gotta say it was a very pleasant experience and best 80 bucks spent I can kinda hear the exhaust more in the cab now so I think I will have to change the cats eventually but he said they where ok I personally called and told the tech thank you he didn't try to upsell me anything that I didn't need I am very happy right now

I hope you guys can find a honest service department like I did 216500 miles and still runs better then a Chevy
