Need to determine which cylinder is misfiring

If you have an android phone, try Torque Pro and a bluetooth OBDII adapter.
Found the bad coil on my F150 for $25 bucks on the adaptor, and few bucks on Torque Pro. Cheaper than another scanner anyways. Did the same on my 3V 4.6 in my Explorer...

Yes this app is the *****.. With mode 6 data you can watch the misfire count on each cylinder. I have 2 tuners but I still run Tourque pro as my #1 choice for diagnostics..

Thanks for the advice! Just ordered a cheap bluetooth OBDII adapter off of eBay and downloading the app. Much easier and convenient and cheaper! I'll update once I get it and find out what I'm getting for misfires. Thanks again.

When you get it up and running, run the "Test Results" and give it some time to update. Your misfire counts will show up there, broken out by cylinder. You will probably want to take it for a drive and drive it in a way that makes it misfire and then check the tests.
In my F150, that was to lug it in 4th gear, with a light throttle application at around 45 mph. Got pretty good at making it do it, unfortunately... (For my Explorer with the 4.6 3V, the easier trigger was full throttle applications...)

I have the bluetooth reader and both EngineLink and DashCmd Apps on my iPhone. Neither seems to display misfire counts. Only stored codes. Does anyone know of an App for the iPhone that does this?

Another misfire is during OD when the EGR is called to open.
My truck misfires when in OD going about 45 with low rpm and under load (climbing a slight incline) I just read the above line in another forum. Does anyone think that the EGR could somehow be causing my problem?

Got the torque app up and running. So far got a misfire on cylinder 7 and I'm going to take a test run this afternoon to try and get more misfires, not too hard to do. I'm going to try switching COPs out first and see if it follows the COP or not. Will report back later.

45-55 is usually when your transmission shifts into overdrive.
If the truck does like a quick jerking/vibration, that can be your torque converter and/or transmission.
