My truck is an XL with just am/fm radio. I am looking to get a factory cd player. Can someone tell me what the plugs are for on the back of the radio? My am/fm has one plug on the right looking at the back. Some have two sets of plugs. Are these for stering wheel controls or something?? Will one with two plugs work in my truck?? I know they make some with three plugs and i think the third plug is for a seperate woofer set-up.

I don't really have an answer for you, but I have this one for sale if your interested.

These radios can have up to three plugs; one plug is the power/ground, and speakers (common to all radio models), a second plug would be for models with steering wheel control buttons, and a third plug is used for models with an overhead console and the DVD player.

Good news is that any of these radios will work in any model truck; if your model does not have the steering wheel controls option, you would not have that harness, but a radio with this option still works.

Only difference is the antenna; early models used one type of antenna plug, late models switched to a different antenna end. Godd news again, you can get an antenna adapter to make early radios ork in late models, and vise versa.

Thats good news I bought one that has two plugs on the back and was pretty sure the second plug was for steering wheel controls. I only have the power, ground, speakers... plug in my harness. The radio should have the right antenna plug for me as I have the old style and the radio is out of an 2005. Hope to have the new radio in a couple of days. Thanks for the help.
