Default need advice, and prayers!!

alright, my truck has almost 90k miles on it and i want to change the spark plugs, i have read complete horror stories about this and want some advice from some people that have done it before...what pre steps should i do..i read soaking them with penetrating catalyst 24 hours before hand, any special tools? what type of spark plugs should i use also? im not gonna lie im super nervous about doing this...and if i break one how do i go about getting it out? i dont know why ford did a multiple piece spark plug, but i want to replace them with all 1 piece...thanks in advance for the help

Read the sticky and follow the TSB and you should be fine. I would have the Lisle tool on hand before starting. I believe the the TSB recommends soaking with carb cleaner - not penetrating oil. Use motorcraft plugs.

I just did mine last night. At the very least, make sure you have the Lisle tool available if you do break one. Otherwise it's game over until you get one. The only pre step I did was run seafoam for 2 complete tanks of gas and it did appear to work. My plugs all came out and were very clean. When you do the job, I'd recommend using carb cleaner instead of penetrating oil. You'd think penetrating oil would work better, but the TSB and most people seem to be using carb cleaner with pretty good success. I read every thread I could find on the topic looking for tips to get it done with out breaking any. Luckily it paid off. Good luck on yours.

I couldn't find anyone that sold this tool retail, but it's readily available on Amazon and Ebay. I think new they go about $75 delivered. I snagged a used, (but never used) one for $55, so better deals are out there.
