Need Advice.. 2005 F150 5.4
hey everyone, this is my first post on the forum and want to thank everyone for letting me join..
not an ideal first post but I am in a hole with my pickup. the other morning I can to an exit on the highway I was taking, came up to the stop sign when my truck started to act like it was running out of fuel... I get pulled over after the truck had died a couple of times. getting out of the truck I can smell straight fuel, the truck ran at a very rough idle.. research that I did said it was the fuel injectors.. so I take it to the local ford dealership to have them take a look at it (3500 miles past warranty). after waiting two days to hear from them all they diagnose my truck with was that I need a new motor.. not knowing until I got the truck back that now my truck has very bad rod know on top on everything else that's going on. I towed the truck back up to the house and emptied the oil my self which was very mixed with fuel and oil...
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what is going on?
Thank you

Sounds like you have an injector stuck open. It doesn't take a lot of gas to dilute oil to the point of causing serious damage. I would drop the pan and pull the rod caps off for inspection of the bearings just so you will know for sure without someone just guessing.
