Mystery Box
I just took delivery of a 2008 F-150 Lariat Supercrew. Under the left rear seat is a long black box. What is the function of the box?
I had a 2005 F-250, but it had no such box.

Are you talking about the factory Sub and Amp box?
That is probably what it is. I'm not into sound, etc, but there is a pretty heavy duty wire running out from under the box.

It might be the subbox if it has the audiophile stereo or it could be the floor jack that's where they are put when we build em. The floor jack comes in a long black plastic case and is in a slotted type opening under the back seat. Real fun if u get a flat to get to.
