I purchased the 4R70W-DD 8 quart pan - 2.5 quarts over stock. In addition to holding more fluid and having a finned face, which both help with heat dissipation, it seems to be able to stop an armor piercing round, and it has a magnet inside to collect any metal particles that may be generated, acting as an additional filter. It's a pretty strong magnet too. Stuck my knife to it and it held.

I have their differential cover as well and am really impressed with it.

Thanks,
Anthony
That is an awesome package. I'm looking into upgrading my differential and transmission pans when the time comes to service them. Thanks for the pics!

Sorry to hear about your job situation, hope things turn out better soon.

And this is your first post? Wow, credit to you. Aren't you supposed to be on the Civic forum?

Finally got my transmission rebuilt! Bigger, badder, and fully functioning after a year of having a bad torque converter. No more violent shuddering and shaking or hesitation to accelerate when the truck tries to downshift. Originally, Ford diagnosed it as the rear differential. So I replaced that with a Truetrac and the problem persisted. After long last, the mechanic at Speed and Truck told me to see a transmission guy at a shop called TransTech. They did an awesome job.

I got one of those Mag-Hytec transmission pans that holds 8 quarts of fluid in order to keep my investment well lubricated and as cool as possible. Below are some pictures of the pan installed:

I also jumped on the interior LED bandwagon. Switched them to the color red. Females seem to like it. I'll chalk that up to a win. The pictures don't show the true awesomeness. They're bright enough to read without straining my eyes, but can't be seen from the outside on the side or the back. Big thanks to DarkShadowSTX for his help and his coupon codes to VLED.

If you guys have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.
No drain plug?

btw great looking truck! I am local to you in Lake Worth, I would really like to see that truck in person. You did a great job with a lot of tasteful mods.
