Unhappy My truck is too slow!

I have a 2006 4.6L xlt f150. It is just way too slow for me. My sister has a titan and that truck will blow this ford away. It's embarrassing. So I'm going to hit the basics first. How much hp would I get from an intake, exhaust, and Edge EVO chip? What about acceleration? How much would all this run?

Intake:
I havent any idea on which intake or how much they run. Whats your opinion?

Exhaust
I was thinking about a true dual with dual 40 series flowmasters. I want power, but I also want good sound, and I want the dual rear exit look. What exhaust would you suggest for my wants?


Also, what other cost friendly mods would give me more power?

And are there any aftermarket companies that make superchargers, turbochargers, prochargers, etc. for the 4.6? All I have seen is for the 5.4.
And if so, How much do they run?

of course the titan will win. you're comparing a 4.6 vs a 5.6. you're probably giving up around 50-60 cubic inches. the titan will outrace the 5.4 as well. not sure how much the mods will help. maybe another 30 hp. have fun with whatever you decide to buy and continue to enjoy the best truck on the planet

Get the SCT tuner they are waaayyy better than the Edge. Get true dual exhaust with an x pipe. Take the cats out. K&N CAI. That is good for 30 hp. Put some gears in the back for quicker take off.Do not use flow disasters Get Magnaflows or Borla. The 4.6 is not a power house. If you want to really outrun her truck you need to do heads and cams too.

the edge has canned tunes, which means they are for all trucks with that motor. if you get the Sct and get it tuned by Troyer Performance, it will be tuned specifically for your truck and any mods done to it. the tuner can also be updated by troyer if you add any mods down the road. if this isn't quite right, i'll be corrected. the edge also has given some people tranny problems.

Well my truck will always be to slow! It depends on how much you want to spend. If you got money someone's got a fix. The intake (i got a k&N cold air intake and love it) the tuner (got an edge and love it no problems what so ever) and the exhaust ( got a borla and love that too). These are the best "bang for the buck"! You could get e-fans, underdrive pulleys, cams, headers, superchargers, etc. and beat the pants off another truck! Just remember did you buy your truck to beat another truck? Or did you by a truck to do something else? I would love to supercharge my truck and what not but I don't use my truck to race another truck although braging rights are nice! I bought it to fit my needs! If I want to do that I just hoop into my dune buggy and cruise. And the dune buggy was cheaper then supercharging my truck!

Contact Troyer Performance. As NGM suggested I would go with the X2 or X3 tuner.

I'd give the folks at Troyer Performance a call and have them design a Stage 1 performance package built for the 4.6L engine, they'll have absolutely no problem doing this for you. All the ones on their website are for the 5.4L. I'd highly recommend custom tuning over the Edge and canned tunes any day of the week. All of this will still not make your truck fast enough to beat that titan, but it will make a HUGE difference in the feel and performance of your truck.
