Just an update. The carwash is paying 100% of the cost of repair and getting me a rental. total cost is $1765.44...

Eek that amount of damage could never happen during my car wash, my hands are not nearly strong enough!


Good on them for making the process easy for you, but this is why I never use auto washes, I just hear too many stories like this... not worth the risk lol

Well they havent made it easy...they wanted 3 quotes...I told them that I dont have time to be taking off of work to be getting these estimates. I mentioned that the next 2 would be from dealerships, so they'd be better off just accepting this one. They also didnt want to give me a rental because "The repair shouldn't be more than a couple days." Clearly the Area Manager doesnt know a thing about paint and bodywork. They just called, approved my original estimate and are setting up a car for me to pick up tomorrow when I drop the truck off. This process has been a nightmare and stressful. I thought corporate insurance coverage would be easier to deal with than personal.
