It's adjustable, I have it on the highest setting in that pic. One setting had my face six inches over the intake manifold so I have easy access to everything. Without the creeper this job would suck honestly.

So here is how the day went.... I had the back passenger and driver side cylinder left. I got impatient while doing the driver side and only let the penetrating oil sit for about 5 minutes top before taking the impact gun to it. It broke with the entire porcelain intact inside the spark plug hole (First Pic)

I took that piece and welded a rod to it and beat it with a hammer to make it clamp onto the porcelain so I could pull it out (Second Pic)

Now just the shield is in the hole and my lisle tool will be here Tuesday so I can get it removed.

The passenger side I let the penetrating oil soak for 30 minutes after cracking a 1/2 turn. This time I just used my ratchet and it could've soaked longer but it eventually came out without breaking.

So I'm 7 out of 8 without breaking. Probably would've been 8 for 8 if I had been patient. Cold engine, cracked 1/4-1/2 turn with penetrating oil soak, low power pneumatic impact gun.

Dang that sucks that you only had one break. You did just the opposite of me. Warm engine, seafoam in gas tank for 300 miles, no penetrating oil or anything like that. I had the lisle on hand and all 8 came out perfectly.

Yeah I wanted to do warm engine but the rain cut me off so I just started tearing into everything in between drizzles. I was afraid that if I waited until the good weather today I wouldn't have enough time to do them all. While it was raining I took the time to clean my TB, MAF, and my Ram Air box and Filter.

I think it's good to know that cold is possible for others who are curious. I used liquid wrench penetrating oil and it worked its way completely down to the shield so it did a good job. They were so tough before that that I'm sure they would have broke in a cold engine though. I should have been more patient and let the last two soak longer, but I got a spare vehicle till the lisle comes in Tuesday.

If you do a BG intake service before removing the plugs it will remove that crud from the plug. doesn't guarantee they won't break but, helps the B12 spray I use to soak through with that 1/4 turn and soak.

Uncle Snappy, is the BG product much different than Seafoam?

Done!

Took 15 minutes with the tool to get the spark plug out and that's only because it was in a tight place for a ratchet. It actually took longer to get the spark plug shield off of the tool.

Misfire gone, but I am not running my tuner right now so we will have to see if that effects it at all.

Why wait any longer?

Those lisles are worth their weight in gold, huh?
