Question Was my engine swapped? Odometer fraud not telling me?

Bought a certified used 2007 F150 XLT last month and i have been trying to research whether the engine was swapped after a mechanic told me he assumed it was. The dealer never said anything about the engine only found this out after.
Engine number on valve cover is 6G 692 AA which suggest 05/06 series and was made on 10/12/2005.
Vin sticker says made 03/07. 1FTPW14V07FB14127
Need to find out incase im getting getting frauded on the odometer.

Don't auto plants work on the 'just in time' supply principal? If that's true, I find it hard to believe an engine built in the Fall of 05 sat around until the truck was built in early 07. Smarter guys should weigh in here.

I've noticed the valve covers on my 2004 say something about 2006 emissions compliant. But has an 04 build date. I found that odd. But how many miles does your odometer claim? I think that's an important factor...

The valve covers should be different on an '07, smaller VCT solenoid holes and less attachment bolts than an '05. Perhaps someone just changed out the valve covers to gain access to the VCT solenoids easier? Also the fan clutch is electric on an '07. I've owned both years and those are the only differences I can think of at the moment...

Bought it at 185,000km/115,000miles. Dealer didn't give me a copy of the car report just went over it quick said minor front end damage probably a bumper only $2000. I work at a plant that makes car parts and they're always on the line and if they're late they have to expedite the parts right away so the 1.5yr gap does seem wrong. Im not familiar with working on engines so I'd have to look into those solenoid holes and fan clutch.

Two thoughts on this:

Why would changing the engine mean fraud with the odometer?

Second, the odometer in those trucks is no longer run by cable but stored in the computer. I am not aware of a way of changing the odometer in any way. If anything, you have less miles on the engine if it has been changed.

This unless you are thinking they put a used engine in and may thereby have a higher mileage engine than your odometer reads.

Can you clarify your thinking here?

Well i guess it wouldn't really be fraud, the odometer isn't being rolled back. It is law for a dealer to declare if the odometer isn't accurate and at what point it changed. Where i am, i can return vehicle within 90 days if they lie about odometer reading. The engine be changed and being 1.5 years older seems like it would count. Even if the engine was brand new it changes value on a vehicle and is usually declared before a purchase.

For a used vehicle, I don't believe a seller has any legal obligation to disclose if an engine has been swapped.

Certified vehichle not as-is. Dealer is required to give full disclosure of the odometer. If the original engine blew and got replaced most importantly with an older engine or anything at all where is the proof of mileage on that engine?
