My axles are too short on my 2005 f150
help,
I just bouhght a 2005 ford 150 fx4 and it come lifted from the front.
my axle came out the other day and my mechanic said they were to short because of the lift/leveling.
to avoid this from happening again can i get aftermarket spindles? or do i really have to buy longer axles?
any help is highly appreciated....thanks

Okay I need to ask a few questions first to help you out. Are you talking about the front cv axles that go from the front differential to the spindle? Because those should be bolted to differential housing on the one side and bolted the spindle on the other side. It would be near impossible for those to fall out. Are you talking about your front driveshaft? That needs to be extended for most drop bracket lift kits and you can buy a new one from procomp that is the right length.
