Default My 2008 xlt

My new to me 2008 xlt 5.4 with just over 60,000 miles. I'm going to post things as I go but the plans as of right now are level, exhaust, tuner, wheels and tires, sliding rear window. Any input on things that you have done or things you think will go good with my truck would be greatly appreciated. I'm going for a tough but not flashy look. Thanks in advance

Leveling done. I've done a few Chevys in the past so I gotta say this was a pain in the ***** having to take out the whole thing but I am extremely happy with how it turned out. A 2" gave me about 2 1/2" and I also went up 1" in the back

Duals done. I've always went straight out the back but decided to go out the sides on this one.

Tires and rims should be here in 3 days. I went with the xd monsters 18x9 +18 offset I beleive it's somewhere around 5.73 back spacing. Tires are 295/70/18 lets hope I don't have to much trimming.

I've had pretty good luck with Pioneer head units, all depends on what you wanna spend though... For a 'tough' look, maybe removing the step bars would be an option? Bedliner? Window tint?

Looks great! So chrome or black wheels? I assume chrome. Also why did you have to take whole strut out? Remove the upper ball joint nut, remove sway bar from link, remove brake line bracket and then the 3 upper strut bolts, it will drop right out.

Anyway, I have a Pioneer double din and love it. Its older but works great, model Pioneer AVH-X2600BT. Got it for $180 with install kit from Sonicelectronix.com

I have a Kenwood DD372 and I really like it. Be aware though if you go with the Kenwood you will have to alter the mounting kit. The frame the radio sits in is bigger than the installation bracket hole.

That's actually what I was looking at today was pioneer . I found a couple touch screens that will fill that gap perfectly. Do you have a monitor type or just CD player? .... I have a Bedliner... I love tinted windows and have done them on every one of my trucks but the cops around me constantly give tickets for them... Thinking about the step bars but I want something there so I'm on the fence on that one. Thanks for the suggestions

Yeah chrome I'm over the black phase of my life haha. The strut actually had to be rotated 180 to put back in with the spacer so I had to removed the whole thing. I'm looking at pioneer and kenwood right now I want something that fills the whole gap preferably touch screen so I'm hoping someone spots this that has one thanks for the suggestion I'll check that site out
