muffler replacement?
Hey guys I have a 5.4 07 screw I just want to replace the muffler with a borla or something. What would be the best option to do that. I don't want a kit I just want to take the old one out and put a new one in.

I saw that post and that's not what I'm looking for. I want to replace my muffler and use the same tailpipe, just replace the actual muffler itself nothing else. I was wondering what size pipe is going in and going out. Single in single out.

I deleted the rear cats on mine and put a flowmaster 70 series in place of my stock muffler and I love it! It has a nice rumble at start up and cruising around at slow speeds but on the highway at 70 mph there is basically no drone!
It all depends how loud u want your truck, flowmaster has vid clips on there website of how each series of there mufflers sound

i run a flowmaster series 44 on stock tail pipe with a metal mulish 5 inch tip nice rumble when you on the gas and quiets down at normal traveling speed the depth of sound can be achieved by the tip you choose as well. I ran it for a bit before i got the tip on and it was noticeable i just wanted a lil more rumble so i added the tip and love the throaty sound. almost all aftermarket mufflers that have some throaty sound to them will have some drone
