Factory may not be the correct term but there is one that Ford sells. More likely a dealer deal

I was thinking thinking that the 09 has one available from factory and possibly the 08....

On my '06, I mounted in the pocket under the radio. Just drilled a small hole in the upper left corner of the pocket. When I sold the truck, removed the controller, never saw where the hole was or where the controller was mounted.

that is an interesting idea (storage box under radio)...
I'm going to have to look into that idea.

Just found out some good news....
the wiring harness that I had in my 97 will fit my 07... that will save me a couple of bucks.....

I wanted to do that on my 06 but being that its an XL, the controller wouldve interfered with the cup holders...cant have that...
Actually I didnt have to drill any holes to mount it under the dash where I did. There was already a hole and a screw there.
