Default Motorcraft Struts and Shocks

Wondering if anyone has used or would recommend the Motorcraft shocks and struts. I found them on rockauto for about the same price as the monroes. I'm looking for the OE ride, I don't haul or tow. I don't think my truck has the "heavy duty payload" package and I know it's not the off road package. They also offer "sport tuned" not sure what it is but doubt it's for me.

2006 F150 STX 4.6L Supercab flareside. Any info helps. Just wondering I'm wasting my time and just go with the monroes.

Depends on which Monroe shocks you are comparing.
The MonroeMatic would be similar to stock Ford shocks.
There are upper grades of Monroes and others that will provide better ride and service for approximately the same $$$'s as the standard Ford equipment.

Thanks for the input, If I were to go with the monroes I would go for the reflex model, id rather put quality parts on, than cheap out. Struts are far overdue at 112,000 miles and original as far as I know...feels like it

So take a look at the quickstruts available from Monroe and other manufacturers. They have new springs already installed. Makes the installation much easier and safer. You can do these yourself without any special tools.
If you need some replacement instruction, take a look on YouTube.

I also considered those, for the safety and convenience. Price point is little different story, I also know around October advance auto has "shock-tober" with all the rebates. Might hold out for then. But much appreciate the help

These:

Are $127 now. Have watched them on Amazon and seen the price at $119 earlier. They will come down again.

I went with the Ranch Quicklift adjustable coil over and shocks. A huge improvement on my truck and I had similar mileage you do.

I know there is a 30% coupon up to $50 PER ORDER that Advanced Auto has right now. Code is TRT30. If your not in a hurry, I placed (2) separate orders and saved $100 bucks doing it that way.

Thanks for the heads up on the coupon. I'm shopping around, I've found eBay has some deals surprisingly.

Im still learning here, but what do our trucks exactly have?? So we have shocks up front, and then struts in the rear?? I am just getting used to trucks, thought it was leaf springs only in the rear.

I am going to be putting 2.5" levels on soon, and im with you. I have about 100k on my truck and I think I should replace the shocks up front and struts so I am super interested in what you get.
