Default More Plastidip on my 04 FX4...

I Plastidipped the bottom of the doors/bed, the lower front grille, and both bumpers today, used a whole gallon of matte black, and only got 3 heavy coats out of it... Damn stuff goes quick! Came out pretty decent, although I did have one paint line I had to re-tape and re-spray because it wasn't wet enough when I pulled the tape off...

Thats the only reason I didnt go with 285's or 295's they wanted 50 bucks more per tire. so I settled with the 265's and it was still about $1200 before it was all said and done... And yeah it is addicting, I just ordered another case of cans, and I don't even know what I'm gonna use them for yet... lol

Took about 5-6 hrs to do the bumpers, and sides with dry time between coats.
I used the DipYourCar sprayer system ( https://www.dipyourcar.com/dyc-dipsprayer.html ), But spray cans work fine if you are careful to coat evenly and warm the cans in warm water beforehand. (unless you're in a hot part of the country...
15-20 minutes between coats, and MAKE SURE if you have a lot of tape lines, to do the last coat in sections and make it a thick coat. wait about 30 seconds, then pull the tape. If you wait too long it will dry and pull your edge with the tape. If you don't wait long enough, the coats underneath will not have the time to re-liquify, so you'll pull them off as well...
I would say wait at least an hour before you drive the vehicle, and if possible let it sit and cure overnight...
