mirrors
I want to replace my factory mirrors with tow mirrors but I have power mirrors. There is a local yard near me with a 2005 f250 with power tow mirrors and I read that the mirrors can be mounted on an f150 but I dont want to pay the money and they not fit. Does anyone know if they will mount?

If the tow mirrors are from an 04 to 08, they will fit, and the power mirror itself will operate just fine. There are several "options" that the tow mirrors can have other then power mirror adjustment: turn signal indicators, puddle lamps, and power fold back. Your truck may not have all those wired in its connector, but these can be added if you want it. You might have to buy the female or male "pins" for the connector, but your local Ford parts department will have these if you wish to go that far in making those options work.
I bought a used set of power tow mirrors for my 2007 STX from a member here that had them on his 2006. My STX has "power nothing"; the mirrors bolt up fine; I just had to manually adjust the mirrors. I did buy the pig tail replacement mirror connectors, and I hooked up the puddle lights to the electrical circuit of the interior lights. I also connected the turn signal lights (the set I bought had these too) to the appropriate left/right signal light circuits.
Here is the electrical connector wiring diagram for the tow mirror connector:

Are the F250's different? Similar door body style, so I'd thing the mirrors would be the same; they would have the ability to slide outward perhaps.

The picture on the left is an 05 the picture on the right is an 08. If I were buying I would just get what everyone else is from a vender like 1aauto.com, which is probably going to be cheapest anyway.

Hi wanted to ask does anyone know which pins need swaped for the turn signals to work correctly on a 2006 F150 fx4. I have read on multiple threads that you need to swap a pin for the turn signals to work and add a pin for the puddle lights but i can find which pin needs swaped for the turn signals. Thanks in advance.

I know this is an old thread but folks get your facts straight. The mirrors from 99-2016 are ALL BOLT ON FOR THE SUPER DUTIES. They have had an identical cab and doors all this time. So if 08 mirrors fit, so will 2005 mirrors. Sure the 08s look better but you have options if the SD mirrors fit, which I really don't think they do.
In fact, 1a makes a super duty look-a-like mirror with the lights in it and everything.
