mirror swap for new towable style
I have an 05 150 i want and need the extendable style mirrors that were on the 08 and the new style pickups. the dealership says they will bolt right up but they don't know if the plug in is the same for the power options. has anyone done this swap?

They bolt right up. I installed them on my 04 Lariat Screw. On you wiring connectors, you have to move the ground wire. The power glass, turn signals, and heaters work. Only issue I've had - the new mirrors have the puddle lights that my 04 doesn't have the wiring for (not a big deal).
All told, took about an hour to change them out.
(and, if anyone needs a pair of the OE power mirrors from an 04, I'd like to sell my old ones :-) ).
