Mileage on your truck till fuel pump went out?

I'll repeat info told to me: in-tank fuel pumps use the gas they're sitting in to cool them, so running the tank below 1/4 can shorten the pump's life. When they're run below 1/2 a tank, much of the pump becomes exposed, and with 1/4 they can run hot and have to work harder, thus shortening their life. There's more to go with it, but that's the gist.
I run my tank all the way down and have 92k on my 06 5.4. Pump is still good as far as I can tell.

06 xlt 4x4 replaced fuel pump at 115,000km noticed a sharp drop in fuel economy, was only $40 bucks with an oil change at mr.lube so i had them do both. service tech showed me the pump and she was pretty much clogged, if you fuel at shell on a regular do it more often, they have very poor quality fuel...
