Not that I saw man ....

When I was looking, I was pretty much only looking for 4x4 and crew cabs. That said, I looked at some Chevy's and realized I didnt like the way they drove or felt on the inside, so I settled on looking only at Ford's. I previously had a 2002 F150 ext. cab with a 4.2. I put 170k miles on that truck over 7 years..... with no major issues....so it seemed logical to go with a Ford again.

The dealerships are NOT the way to go in my opinion, I saw nothing remotely close to what I bought for a reasonable price, matter of fact I was looking at one in Mcdonough which was an 05 with 80k miles on it ..... it was loaded with NAV, Sunroof, everything. They wanted 24k for it...and didnt seem to want to budge. I bought mine for 10k less.....I can do a lot of upgrades for 10k ......

just my .02

Only reason I've been looking to dealerships is to get some trade in on my jeep, but now that I've probably found someone wanting to pay cash for it up front my options have opened up.

yeah ...fortunately... I wasnt in that boat .... and if you can get ou of it by selling your jeep flat out prior to buying the truck ....you will be much happier ....

Good luck ... I hope you get what you are looking for ....I absolutely love my truck

New guy here...

I just bought an '04 FX4 Supercrew with 36K miles for $17K from a private seller. I'll admit that it was a steal, but if you keep looking and be in a position to buy then you'll find a deal...

I'm just wondering about the tranny and engine life. I'll put a lift, on so the suspension wasn't really anything to think about, just the drivetrain really. All else will eventually be upgraded and paint touched up probably.
